Detailed
Description
Promotional report on Shaare Zedek Hospital. The institution opened over 100 years ago as a 20-bed hospital on Jerusalemís Jaffa Road. Even then it was considered ahead of its time and quickly became renowned for its unique blend of superior medical treatment and specialist care. Today Shaare Zedek is one of the busiest hospitals in the world. From twenty births each month in 1902 it now has over 900 every month; 460 patients hospitalised at Shaare Zedek in the first year have become more than 44,000! Shaare Zedek employs nearly 400 physicians, over 700 nurses and over 200 paramedics.
