Description
   Directive from the Strasbourg Consistoire Israelite to all congregations to offer prayer services for Prince Henry IV to become the successor to the throne of the Bourbons. The directive, in French and German, details the Psalms and liturgies to be recited followed by a prayer in Hebrew written for the occasion.

The Consistoire, was the official organization of the Jewish congregations in France established in 1808 by the Napoleonic administration to designate the committees of rabbis and laymen responsible for the administration of the Jewish congregations at the regional and national levels.
