The Capetown Branch of the African Geserd put out this poster which is headed "a pogrom of the Yidische Fascists over Yidische workers and women in Capetown." This appeared in reaction to a disturbance that had occurred on January 10th when the Capetown Zionists and fascists has come to blows with the workers. The text is in Yiddish.

The African Gezerd (Gezelshaft far Erdarbet), which was founded in 1932 and was the major instrument of the anti-Zionist cause. "By the time of its first National Convention in January, 1933, it boasted 1200 active members and many sympathizers all over the country. The importance of the Gezerd lies in the fact that it represented an alternative to Zionism as the dominant philosophy of the Jews of South Africa."
