Detailed in depth introduction to the Hebrew language with a lengthy German introduction by R. Dr. Daniel Fink. The title page, with a vignette of two young people strolling on a path with trees on both sides towards the setting sun, states that it is a book to instruct the classical Hebrew language for schools and students based on new principles and simple grammar. The text follows, in a single column in rabbinic type. Among the contents after the basic text are lekkutim, from the work ben Sira; sayings (axioms); and a Hebrew-German dictionary; Sefer Mishnah ha-Gra”a; Kizzur from the work Leshon Limudim (R. Moses Hayyim Luzzato, who wrote a work with the same title); extracts from the Me’or Adumim of R Azariah Adumim (his name reflecting that his family was one of four in Itlay that traced its lineage to the exiles of Titus from Jerusalem); rules of song from the book Siah Yitzhak; a detailed list of Hebrew abbreviations and their meanings, and a Hebrew-English dictionary. These sections have their own pagination. Reading from left to right there is a German title page and a lengthy forward in that language. In contrast to the Hebrew title page the German title page is dated 1925.
