Complete run of the important and scholarly Orthodox journal Ha-Ma’ayin from Tamuz 1956 through Shevat-Nissin 1958. The covers note that the journal was founded under the direction of the Hatam Sofer and expresses the viewpoint of the Pressburg Yeshivah. The contents of the first issue in this run are two older articles, the first from the gaon Ba’al ha-Mahrsham and from the gaon Ba’al Sofer Mahir. Also included are three new Torah novellae, the first ascribed to the admor shlita, the others by R. Nasan Nuta Perl and by R. Moshe Dov Wolner. The last issue in the journal has novellae from R. Zundel Grossman, R. Moses Blau, R. Elijah Katz, R. Judah Segal, R. Shraga Shelumai, and R. Joseph Liberman. The entire collection is an invaluable collection of Torah insights by leading contemporary rabbis as well as the insights of important rabbis of the past.
