Paragraph 1    An issue of a Yiddish newspaper called Hajoetz [meaning "the advisor" to the Jews of Romania]. This issue is dated October 9, 1896, and it is vol. 32 no. 1846. The subtitle describes the newspaper as an "organ for the family, politics, business, literature and settlement of Erez Israel.". It appeared twice a week, and was edited by Michel Aziel.

Description
   On page two of this issue is a serialized original story called "der Yidische Nilisten" by "Yosef-sohn".

In an article entitled "The press as vehicle for self-emancipation: aspects of the evolution of the Jewish press in 19th century Romania" M. Stanciu states that Hajoetz was one of "the most pregnant voices to accuse the restrictive legislation and the abuses".

Also included are three issues of a successor newspaper called Der Wahre Hajoetz דער וואהרע היועץ put out by Aziel's son, Yosef. These are dated October 26, 1896, June 14, 1908 and July 8, 1909.
