Only edition of these discourses on the events of life by R. Masi’ad Madar. The title page describes Menuhah ve-Hayyim describes the book as being comprised, in the first part, of ethical reproof concerning the paths of life. The second part is eulogies on the righteous. Menuhah ve-Hayyim. Appended to the book is Geulat ha-Erez. The verso of the title page has a photograph of R. Madar (1928-59), followed by approbations from rabbis in Djerba, and an introductions from R. Madar’s students. Next is a list of those who assisted in publication and then the text, set in a single column. The first discourse, there are twelve, is for Yom Kippur, the eleventh is for the month of Tamuz, and twelve was for the month of Av but lost and could not be found. These are followed by the eulogies, numbered thirteen through forty-four, another lengthy discourse, and Geulat ha-Erez, which are massiot from Alarabi.
