Full title: Hoseas illustratus Chaldaicà Jonathanis versione, & philologicis celebrium Rabbinorum Raschi, Aben Esrae & Kimchi commentariis.

The book of Hosea together with the commentaries of Rashi, R. Abraham Ibn Ezra, and R. David Kimchi and the addition of Targum Jonathan to the Prophets as well, plus an introduction by the editor, Hermann von der Hardt.

There are two title pages. The one on the left states the year as 1703. A preface in Latin follows. This is followed by the Hebrew text with commentaries and ends up with another two pages in Latin and the title page on the right, which states the date as 1702.

Hermann von der Hardt (November 15, 1660 - February 28, 1746), was a German Protestant theologian, philologist, historian and orientalist. He was born at Melle, in Westphalia. He studied oriental languages at the universities of Jena and Leipzig, and in 1690 he was called to the chair of oriental languages at Helmstedt. He resigned his position in 1727, but lived at Helmstedt until his death.
