   [1] p., 283:215 mm., light age staining, ink on stationary, Ashkenazic script, signed and dated.
   R. Nachman Tzvi Ebin was born (c.1882) in Slutsk, Lithuania, where he was ordained. R. Ebin arrived on these shores in 1904 and served as the Rabbi of the Linden Street Synagogue in Scranton, PA until 1906. After a short period in the Cleveland he was elected as the Chief Rabbi of Buffalo, NY, a post that he held for five years. After which he moved to South Brooklyn were he became the spiritual leader of Congregation Sons of Israel until his passing.

R. Ebin an executive member of the Agudath Harabonim, a delegate to the Zionist Congress in Vienna in 1925 and to the World Jewish Congress in 1914 and 1930.

R. Ebin passed away in 1943 as was buried in Section Two of the Mount Judah Cemetery in Ridgewood, NY.
