R. David Hayyim Corinaldi was rabbi at at Reggio, Leghorn, and Triest. He was a student of R. N. Pincherle. In addition to Beit David, he also wrote glosses on the Shulhan Arukh, part of which was published by R. Hayyim David Azulai (Hida). There is a manuscript collection of sermons delivered in Triest, and an article, under the title “Divre Shalom ve-Emet,” on the short ו found in the word shalom (Num. xxv. 12). In this MS. are also some critical notes against David Pardo, author of “Shoshannim le-David,” which had caused a conflict between the two rabbis. They were, however, induced to settle their differences by the intervention of the rabbis of Livorno.
